The 16.5 m is an excellent FPB, designed to reach a speed in excess of 50 knots, characterised by very high manoeuvrability and seaworthiness.
So far intermarine has built, using the same basic hull, many different 16.5 m configurations for several different Customers, among which the Italian Maritime Customs, the Italian Coast Guard, foreign Navies, all requiring different propulsion, outfitting and armament.

To date delivery has been completed with the following propulsions:

fixed pitch propellers
surface piercing propellers
waterjets

These are diesel engine driven with powers between 2000 and 3000 HP, giving rise to speeds in the range between 30 and 54 knots.
Standard crew consists of 5, for which suitable accommodations are provided on board.
