INTERMARINE LAUNCHES
TWO FAST PATROL BOATS "DI BARTOLO CLASS" NAMED "G6
BARBARISI" AND "G7 PAOLINI" UNDER CONSTRUCTION
FOR THE ITALIAN FINANCE POLICE
The launching ceremony took place this evening at Intermarine
yard at the presence of the Commander in Chief of the italian
Finance Police, Gen. Roberto Speciale, of the President of Immsi,
Roberto Colaninno and of the Managing Director of the Rodriquez
Group, Marco Ragazzini.
During an official ceremony
at Intermarine Shipyard in Sarzana, Italy, took place the launching
ceremony of two 35 meters Fast Patrol Boats, "G6 Barbarisi"
and "G7 Paolini".
This two ships are the last
two of a contract for the contruction of 5 units of 35 meters.
These boats represents the evolution of two prototipe realized
by Intermarine in 1998 and utilized for training matters.
Made in composit material;
hull and watertight bulkheads are made in FRP, the maindeck and
the superstructure are made in sandwich with core of PVC. This
is a solution that gives a strong solidity of the ship and for
sure security for crew and for all the machines installed onboard.
Equipped with two diesel engines
driving two fixed pitch propellers, the boat can in fact achive
a speed in excess of 35 knots.
