RODRIQUEZ YACHTS: THE LIGHT BLUE PRIZED AT THE MILLENIUM YACHT
DESIGN AWARD Among the variety events foreseen, Seatec has dedicated a whole day to yachting design with the third edition of MYDA, Millennium Yacht Design Award for to naval yards and designers – both new and known ones – presenting their most advanced projects of new boats, thus stretching out the role of design for boats and yachts. With this respect, Light Blue represents the summary of different elements characterizing the Rodriquez Yacht: style, that is the unique design of architect Paszkowski, the technology and know-how of Rodriquez Cantieri Navali and the innovative indoor elements conceived by the Rodriquez Yachts architects. Elegance and a classical style combine with a modern and aggressive style: a line recalling the grace of a swan with rounded curves combined with elements of sophisticated technology and svelte touches. However, the really typical elements can be found in their uncommon volumetric features which, due to the “widebody” concept, create indoor rooms of super yachts with sizes over 50 m. Actually the side walks disappear, being moved onto the fly, thus leaving room to the main deck whose size reaches about square m. 50 and where a striking view can be observed from the side windows and from the entrance sliding door. The yacht has been conceived with extraordinary volumetric features as an “open” one, to guarantee its complete opening and total free style. “We tried to meet the needs expressed by Rodriquez Yachts – stated Arch. Francesco Paszkowski – whose intention was that of approaching this market with a striking proposal of yacht which could propose a new concept of style. This line combines marked elements of design with a classical touch, thus creating a unique yacht characterized by a strong personality”. |
