CONAM DELIVERED
THE FOURTH 75 WIDEBODY
This Saturday: A party for the official handover to the owner.
On Saturday 18 June 2005 at
7 p.m., at the Intermarine yard in La Spezia, the fourth example
of the CONAM 75 Wide Body was delivered. Named Andrea 1921,
the ceremony was attended by the Director of the yard, Edoardo
Cossutta, the yachts famous designer Francesco Pafzkowski,
the shipyard workers of Intermarine, and the architects and engineers
of Rodriquez Yachts who are ultimately responsible for the yacht.
The CONAM 75 WB is entirely
built and fitted out in Rodriquez Cantieri Navalis Intermarine
yard in Sarzana and who are a world leader in the production of
fibreglass and composite vessels. In the same yard, the fifth
75 WB is being fitted out and her delivery is planned within a
month, whilst numbers 6 and 7 are also under construction
Rodriquez took over the activities
of CONAM in the beginning of 2002 and immediately started with
the development and designing of new models. This led to the first
CONAM 75 Wide Body being introduced in 2003 at the Genoa Boat
Show where it was met with huge success. This was followed a year
later with the presentation of the CONAM 80 Sport design.
The Conam series, a wonderful
union of a sports and polished style, are characterised by the
wide body or full beam concept which maximises
the space on board, without compromising performance. In fact,
the lateral passages on the main deck disappears to give space
to the living-room inside in that the interior volume can be compared
to that of a 30 meter yacht yet with all the advantages of owning
a boat of less than 24 meters. A stylistic revolution, a new concept
with space, a boat conceived for all those who prefer the environment
they live in.
The CONAM 75 WB Andrea
1921, which was delivered this Saturday, stands with for
her beige coloured hull, while her contemporary interior is finished
in Vengé wood, light-coloured leather and generous amounts
of luxurious and colourful fabrics.
The fibreglass hull is designed
to ensure a stable and comfortable passage, even in rough seas.
The CONAM 75 Wide Body tops out at 30 knots with remarkable stability
to the comfort of the guests on board. The propulsion is via two
1570 Hp engines, paired to fixed pitch propellers in a V-drive
configuration. The boat has a 400 miles cruising range and easily
reaches her 28 knot cruising speed quickly and efficiently. These
are all qualities of the value of a Rodriquez yacht.
