NAVALI DELIVERS THE 82 M ROPAX "LORA D'ABUNDO" TO MEDMAR The inauguration ceremony of the new 82 m Ro-Pax "Lora D'Abundo", built by Rodriquez Cantieri Navali for the Shipping Company Medmar, took place today in the Port of Naplese. Present at the ceremony, in addition to the shipyard's directors and Nicola D'Abundo, President of Medmar, were numerous official dignitaries. Lora D'Abundo, now serving the Naples - Ischia route with three sailings per day in each direction, was built entirely of steel and is a superb example of the group's leading technological position. At 82 meters, with two Caterpillar 2700 kW diesel with an 18 knot cruising speed and a capacity for 895 passengers and 140 cars, this Ro-Pax is the first built by Rodriquez. The monitoring and stabilization system has been entirely supplied by Rodriquez Marine System.
