APPOINTED AS THE NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR OF RODRIQUEZ CANTIERI NAVALI
(IMMSI GROUP) Mr. Ragazzini, 50, a graduate in engineering, comes from the Telecom Italia Group where – starting from February 2000 – he held managing positions in the fixed phone sector, then as Managing Director he led Saritel, a company belonging to the same Group and active in web services, and thereafter Telbios, a telemedicine service provider. Previously Mr. Ragazzini had worked in the consumer staples industry (Procter&Gamble) where he strengthened his marketing & trade experience, and the clothing industry (Playtex and Sergio Tacchini - as Managing Director). Rodriquez Cantieri Navali, established some 120 years ago, with yards at Messina, Naples, Pietra Ligure (Savona), Sarzana (La Spezia) and Rio de Janeiro (Brazil) and research & technology laboratories in Genoa, is a worldwide leader in the design and construction of fast speed boats (hydrofoils and ferry boats), pleasure boats and defence vessels. The Group's turnover in 2004 was approx 140 million EUR. Mr. Ragazzini's appointment is consistent with the Rodriquez Group's improvement and development process after it was acquired by the IMMSI Group in May 2004. The well-established technological & design know-how in the production of fast speed vessels for both civil and military applications will drive the Rodriquez brand to expand to new market sectors, from mega yachts to large-size ferry boats. Mr. Ragazzini is replacing former Managing Director Mr. Giovanni Morace, who has resigned.
