RODRIQUEZ CANTIERI
NAVALI "LAUNCHES" THEIR NEW CORPORATE MAGAZINE RODRIQUEZ QUARTERLY"
Following the first edition in September 2003, the Sicilian shipyard
has launched number two of the new magazine to highlight the remarkable
achievements of this Italian shipyard.
Due to the high level of interest
in the test edition of RODRIQUEZ QUARTERLY, published in September
2003 to coincide with the most important boat shows in the Mediterranean,
the Messina based shipyard has been convinced that they should
continue with the magazine to highlight and communicate the many
technological achievements, the competence, the professionalism
and the strength of one of the leading international groups building
commercial ferries, military craft and pleasure boats from 14
to 150 meters in aluminium, steel and composites. Rodriquez Quarterly
is published by Rodriquez's in-house commercial group along with
the assistance of Milano based "Editoriale Quadra" and consists
of 28 high gloss pages with high quality graphics, clean and linear,
with text in both English and Italian. 3000 copies of each edition
of Rodriquez Quarterly are published and distributed to key industry
people including brokers and agents, suppliers, owners, other
shipyards, service groups, specialist publications, the military,
designers, navel architecture and marine engineering students
and others. "What we are aiming at is a magazine that isn't just
a showcase for our own products but also plays an active part
in the growth of the industry" according to the President of Rodriquez
Cantieri Navali, Nino Parisi, in the editorial page of edition
2. In each edition of the Quarterly there are articles of general
interest such as an article by a leading member of the industry
with an analysis of a specific segment of the marine market. Also,
periodically there will be a highlight of a ship or yacht under
construction as well as one of the company's shipyards. There
will also be articles on the numerous ongoing technological and
R&D projects along with two pages dedicated to new concepts and
materials for both yachts as well as ships. To close out each
edition, there is a section on the "old friends" built at Rodriquez
yards to showcase one of the many older ships that has been an
integral part of the history of Rodriquez.

Number 2, distributed prior
to Christmas, has on the cover a photo of the "G3 Di Bartolo",
the 35 meter coastal patrol boat delivered in October from Rodriquez's
Intermarine yard for the Guardia di Finanza. Inside, there will
be the following articles: - Forum. An article by Bianca d'Antonio
on the Autostrade del Mare. - Fast Ferry. A visit on board the
Aquastrada TMV 50 delivered in the summer of 2003 to Navigazione
Libera del Golfo in Naples. - Yards. A presentation of Rodriquez
Cantieri Navali do Brasil, the group's yard situated in Rio de
Janeiro. - Marine System. A brief presentation of the special
360o azimuthing propulsion system that is being installed in the
catamarans being built in Rio de Janeiro. - Technology. An insight
into the unique construction methods of the minehunters built

from Caterpillar. - The Way We Were. A look back at the America

many innovative features of Conam. - News. Dedicated to the latest

attachment to the magazine. RODRIQUEZ QUARTERLY has been made
possible by the generous assistance of some of Rodriquez's strategic
partners including: Insurance brokers Cambiaso Risso; interior
fabricators and outfitters Airnaval; engine makers CGT (Caterpillar)
and MTU Italia; seat manufacturer for both airplanes and ships,
Geven; and design studio Hydro Tec. They have all supported this
project because of their commitment to the value of the new corporate
magazine and its ability to strengthen their image in their respective
sector of the maritime industry. It is possible to receive a copy
